Wickens at Royal Mail Hotel is a regional restaurant that needs to be experienced.
The five and eight course menus reflect the available produce growing in the hotel’s 1.2-hectare kitchen garden, which is picked and harvested daily.
The world-class wine list showcases bottles from the impressive 28,000 bottle wine cellar. We offer three types of wine match – cellar, iconic Australian and French – to your degustation, led by our sommeliers.
The restaurant moved to a new location on the Royal Mail Hotel property in October 2017. Taking advantage of the spectacular views of the southern Grampians, the stunning restaurant has floor to ceiling vistas overlooking Mount Sturgeon and Mount Abrupt.
All tables in the restaurant have full view of the kitchen and its team at work. If that is not close enough, there is a Chef’s Table available for up to four people, located within the kitchen. Additionally, groups of up to 14 people have access to the private dining room set within the restaurant.
Namesake and Executive Chef Robin Wickens says “guests dining in the new restaurant will see how its architecture and design connect with the surrounding land, the kitchen garden, the wine collection and references the heritage of the Royal Mail Hotel.”
You’ll be treated to an exceptional experience, no matter the available produce and menu. The menu below should be viewed as an indication only, as the kitchen garden dictates what ends up in the kitchen every day!
