Who We Are:

Karon Farm Coffee is run by husband and wife team, Luke and Susanna.
Luke is our talented chief roaster who has over 12 years of coffee roasting experience. He started out with a re-purposed bread-maker and heat-gun (a corretto setup for the coffee geeks among us) before moving on to small home roasters, a Behmor 1600, a Gene cafe and then a Hottop. In 2015 a commercial drum roaster was purchased and the dream of bringing Karon Farm Coffee to local cafes, restaurants, pubs and individual customers became a reality. Susanna, who has over 15 years commercial accounting and management experience, hides behind the scenes managing the finances and administration of the business.

Our Karon Farm Coffee team wouldn’t be complete without mentioning our chief of security/chasers of cars, Lilly and Tubby who are our resident Maremma Sheepdogs.

Karon Farm Coffee is an award winning, artisanal coffee roaster nestled on the outskirts of Ballarat in regional Victoria.

With a love for all things culinary and an appreciation for utilising local ingredients where possible, we join the growing number of high-quality food producers in the Ballarat region by creating unique artisanal blends for the community near and far to enjoy.

Whilst not open directly to the public, we do ensure our coffee is always available through our online store or through our diverse range of wholesale customers. Being an online business also means we ship our roasts straight to your door, café or wherever you are craving a coffee fix.

Being a small guy in a big coffee world, our point of difference is to create our own unique, artisanal blends which are then roasted fresh to every single order. Nothing sits on our shelves going stale and dusty.

What We Do:

We turn ethically sourced green coffee beans, single origin, direct trade and co-op sourced, into deliciously roasted fresh coffee. Our business’ ethos is to ensure that our practices are sustainable and renewable. We commit to supporting our local communities through sourcing local products where possible and donating to local events. We also support our green bean farmers through an on-going commitment to purchase beans at a responsible price.

It’s not all about coffee though, we also source and supply teas, chai, turmeric and drinking chocolate plus a selection of brewing and roasting equipment for the avid home coffee drinker all the way to supplying machines for cafes and the like.
